Who we are

NVK Air is a trading name of NVK Facilities Group Ltd, a company registered in Wales, company number 16412076, VAT number GB519418185. Registered office: Dunleavy House, Dunleavy Drive, Cardiff, CF11 0SN. That is an administrative address; we work at your home.

To reach us, call 020 3822 0118, send a WhatsApp message to the same number, use the contact form or write to NVK Facilities Group Ltd, Dunleavy House, Dunleavy Drive, Cardiff, CF11 0SN.

These terms are for homeowners buying air conditioning for their own home. Your written quote and these terms together make up our agreement. If your quote says something different from these terms, your quote applies.

Before you agree

We survey the room first, free of charge, and then send you a written quote. The quote sets out:

  • the equipment, room by room, and where it goes;
  • what is included and what is not;
  • the total price, including VAT, fully installed, with any extras priced in;
  • how and when you pay;
  • when we can do the work, or how we will agree a date with you.

A quote is valid for 30 days from its date. The price on it is the price. Nothing is added on the day: if we find that the job needs something the quote did not allow for, we stop, tell you what it is and what it costs, and only do it if you agree.

The contract is made when you accept the quote, by signing it electronically or on paper.

Paying

Your quote shows the payment schedule for your job. Usually it is 50% when you accept, which books your installation date and lets us order the equipment, and the rest on completion, once the system is commissioned and handed over to you. Some jobs, such as work that follows a builder’s programme, are paid in more stages; the quote says so if yours is one of them.

Paying a deposit, and our ordering your equipment, does not take away your right to cancel. If you cancel within the cancellation period, you get your money back as set out below.

Your right to cancel

You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day the equipment comes into your physical possession, which for most jobs is the day we install it. You can also cancel at any time between accepting the quote and that day.

How to cancel. Tell us clearly that you have decided to cancel. You can call 020 3822 0118, send a WhatsApp message to the same number, use the contact form or write to NVK Facilities Group Ltd, Dunleavy House, Dunleavy Drive, Cardiff, CF11 0SN. A message or letter gives you a record. You can use the cancellation form below, but you do not have to. You only need to send your message before the cancellation period ends.

Starting within the 14 days. We will not start installing during the cancellation period unless you ask us to. If you want us to, ask us in writing, for example on your signed quote, by WhatsApp or by letter. If you then cancel, you pay us an amount in proportion to the work we have done up to the moment you tell us you are cancelling, compared with the whole job.

What happens when you cancel. We refund every payment you have made to us, less any amount for work done at your request as described above. We refund you without undue delay, and no later than 14 days after the day you tell us you are cancelling, using the same way you paid unless you agree otherwise. You will not be charged any fee for the refund.

If the equipment has already been delivered or installed, we will come and collect it at our own cost, at a time arranged with you. You are only responsible for any loss in its value that comes from handling it more than was needed to see that it works.

On the day

We confirm each position with you before anything is drilled. The electrical connection is made by a qualified electrician. When the system is installed we commission it and give you a handover pack to keep.

Please give us reasonable access to the rooms we are working in, the place the outdoor unit goes, and your fuse board. Your quote lists anything that is not included, such as plastering or decorating where trunking meets the wall.

We hold public liability insurance.

Warranty and your legal rights

Every installation has our 12 month parts and labour warranty, on top of the manufacturer’s warranty on your unit, which we register for you at handover.

You also have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: the equipment must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, and the installation must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. Our warranty is in addition to those rights and does not reduce them. Citizens Advice can tell you more about them.

If something is not right, tell us as soon as you can: call 020 3822 0118, send a WhatsApp message to the same number, use the contact form or write to NVK Facilities Group Ltd, Dunleavy House, Dunleavy Drive, Cardiff, CF11 0SN.

Our responsibility to you

If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

Your details, and the law

How we use your details is set out in our privacy notice.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live.
